Carlecia Bell, President

Carlecia is a native of Monroe, Louisiana. She became a mentor her Freshman year in college with Q.U.E.E.N.S. in New Orleans. Residing in the Federal Way area for the last 7 years, Carlecia noticed the lack of mentoring programs available to young women in the area and decided to change that narrative. She has always served in her community and has a passion to help young women of color successfully navigate through a society that often treats them differently.

Carlecia is inspired by her husband, Winston Bell, who has dedicated his life to the community for the past 25 years. She strongly believes that “In order to be a mentor, and an effective one, one must care. You must care. You don’t have to know how many square miles are in Idaho, you don’t need to know what is the chemical makeup of chemistry, or of blood or water. Know what you know and care about the person, care about what you know and care about the person you’re sharing with.” (Maya Angelou)

Carlecia is a Financial and Relationship Management Expert and brings years of leadership experience, having served in various leadership roles for the past 13 years for a Fortune 500 Financial Services Company. Carlecia holds a B.S. in Biology from Dillard University, New Orleans, LA and an M.B.A. from University of Phoenix, Online.
