Vendredi Duncan

Vendredi (Von-Dra-Dee) is a pro-woman /pro-peace /pro-black,  artist. She was raised in Washington but her family's roots run in Alabama & Cambodia. Art has been a passion since she was young, before she could spell her name correctly she knew what she wanted to be! An artist. Art has been a way of expressing things that cannot be put into words, it has a way of sharing a connection with others. When Vendredi reached her teenage years she joined a girls group that she didn’t know at the time would be very key in her development as a young black woman but also as a contributing member to her community. Years later it became a full circle moment, she is now involved within Phenomenal She using her talents to influence and pass along success and unity the way they have done for her. Vendredi states “I am very grateful to be a part of Phenomenal She in a way that allows me to give back to those around me and those that come after me! Even if I am seen as a teacher/ mentor I will continue to navigate through life as a student open to gaining experience and knowledge while instructing or guiding through this program.”

Leann Realiza

From music to cosplay, I'm a geeky artist that has always been inspired by the ethereal worlds of fantasy and sci-fi. In due course, I grew a passion for visual storytelling and began writing and directing my own tales through illustration, animation and film. With only a handful of POC women in the film industry, my aim is to help move the needle towards diversity and empower young creatives to tell their stories too.
